January - December 2021:

  • Donations/Contributions: $31,031
  • Expenditures (Operations): $18,792

Approximately 36% of donations went to programs in 2021. Considering we did not begin programs until June, this is an excellent percentage rate and hopefully will be much higher in the next year. This will be due to a significant lessening in funds going towards operations. Up till June of 2021, most of our funds were used for repairs and upgrades to S/V Far Horizons, preparations and travel to our current location in Guatemala.

Operations during 2021 included the following:

(Government filing fees, Customs fees, Contract Services, Fasteners/Hardware, Paint, Adhesives, Cleaners, Boats Tackle, Electrical System, Plumbing System, Engine, Generator, Outboard, Electric Bill, Dock Rent, Laundry, Micel. Expenses, Household/Galley, Boats Medical, Pay Pal fees, Bank fees,Tele-communication, Diesel, Gas, Propane, Oil, Procurement, Manuals, Postage, Mail Service, Office, Charts, Navigation, Boats safety, Tools/Equipment, Liability Insurance.)

Programs:

  • Humanitarian (Helps, Assistance, Hardship relief)
  • Medical (Equipment/Aids, Supplies, 3d printed Prosthetics and Disability Aids.)

We are a very small ministry. Due to our donations being under $50,000 'annual', IMS is only required to file an IRS non-profit 990-N (postcard)
